West System 205 - Fast Hardener
Fast Hardener 205 is a medium-viscosity epoxy hardener. It is useful in most bonding situations and at lower temperatures. 205 Fast Hardener produces a fast-curing epoxy that quickly develops physical properties at room temperature. Mix it with West System Resin in a ratio of 5 parts resin to 1 part hardener. The resulting cured epoxy resin is a rigid, high-strength, moisture-resistant solid. The combination of WS0105A Resin / WS0205A Fast Hardener has excellent bonding and coating properties.
Pot life at 22°C: 9 to 12 minutes - Dry to solid: 6 to 8 hours - Dry to maximum strength: 1 to 4 days - Minimum recommended temperature: 4°C (40°F)
West System 206 - Slow Hardener
Slow Hardener 206 is a low-viscosity epoxy hardener for use when extended working time or longer curing time is required. It also provides adequate working time at higher shop temperatures. When combined with West System Resin in a ratio of five parts epoxy resin to one part hardener, the WS0105A resin/WS0206A slow hardener mixture produces a rigid, high-strength, moisture-resistant solid with excellent adhesion and barrier coating properties. 206 Slow hardener is not suitable for transparent coatings.
Pot life at 22 °C: 20 to 25 minutes - Dry to solid state: 10 to 15 hours - Dry to maximum strength: 1 to 4 days - Recommended minimum temperature: 16 °C (60 °F)
