It is a black, graphite-based powder, added at 20% to C-Systems 10 10 Classic, C-Systems 10 10 CFS, or C-Systems 10 2 resin, to further increase its resistance to crazing and scratches, and to make it less permeable to water because it is water-repellent.
The 20% percentage must be added by weight to 100 grams of total resin and hardener. Each package of A 20 Microshields contains a plastic spoon. In the 4.5 kg packages, for each pump of C-Systems 10 10 CFS A+B, a heaped spoonful of A 20 Microshields must correspond to one pump after thoroughly mixing the resin and hardener. Therefore, if you perform five pump cycles, you will add five heaped spoonfuls of A 20 Microshields after mixing.
For the 1.5 kg C-Systems 10 10 CFS, one spoonful should be added every four alternating cycles of A and B.
With the 6 kg C-Systems 10 2, the amount of two heaped spoonfuls should be added after three pumps of A and B and after mixing thoroughly.
This is because the amount of resin dispensed per cycle is smaller.
The A 20 Microshields additive is applied in the final coats, after grouting.
Another feature of A 20 Microshields is that it makes the resin extremely less runny, and over 200 microns can be applied vertically per coat.
