The Blue Smart IP22 12V 20A 1-outlet charger is the wireless solution for monitoring voltage and current, changing settings and upgrading the charger when new functions become available - High efficiency : With up to 94% efficiency, these chargers generate up to four times less heat than the industry standard - And when the battery is fully charged, power consumption is reduced to 0.5 Watts, i.e. five to ten times less than the industry standard - 6-step adaptive charging algorithm: test - constant current - absorption - reconditioning - maintenance - storage - The Blue Smart charger includes an “adaptive” charge management system controlled by a microprocessor. The “adaptive” function automatically optimises the charging process according to the type of use made of the battery - Storage mode: less maintenance and loss of battery capacity in non-operational phases - Storage mode is activated when the battery has not been discharged for 24 consecutive hours. In storage mode, the maintenance voltage is reduced to 2.2 V/cell (13.2 V for a 12 V battery) to minimise gassing and corrosion of the positive plates. The voltage is restored to the “absorption” level once a week to balance the state of charge of the battery. This process prevents electrolyte stratification and sulphation, which are the main causes of premature ageing of batteries - It also charges Li-ion (LiFePO₄) batteries by means of a simple algorithm constant current - absorption - flotation - NIGHT and LOW settings - When NIGHT mode or LOW mode is activated, the output current is reduced to no more than 50% of the nominal output and the charger will be completely silent. NIGHT mode ends automatically after 8 hours. LOW mode can be switched off manually - Thermal protection: The output current is reduced if the temperature exceeds 50°C, but the Blue Smart charger will continue to work.
