The Cobra BlueBound 350E portable marine VHF is the successor to the previous MR HH350 FLT EU model. Cobra has retained all the features that made the previous model a reliable and popular product, whilst adding technological and structural improvements that cater to user feedback. The BlueBound features a more modern design, with a lightweight, easy-to-handle body, highlighted by a new, brighter and sharper LCD screen equipped with day/night functionality. Furthermore, the battery compartment has a new opening and closing system that replaces the screw-type mechanism of the previous series, making it more user-friendly. Not present in the previous model is the torch and strobe function, which is particularly important in the event of a man overboard to signal his position. Another noteworthy improvement concerns the increased audio volume, which has gone from 250mW to 750mW, and the battery capacity, which has increased from 1000mAh to 1500mAh. Furthermore, the desktop battery charger now features a second slot for an additional spare battery, and the power connector now uses the convenient USB-C.
