Vibration resistance
OPTIMA® batteries are 15.0 times more resistant to vibration than other batteries. Constant vibration and wave shock can be fatal to traditional marine batteries. The wrap-around construction of OPTIMA® batteries minimises grid movement and damage caused by extreme conditions, extending battery life.
Sealed/maintenance-free
OPTIMA® batteries are completely sealed and maintenance-free. Thanks to their fully sealed casing, OPTIMA® batteries are extremely safe. Acid cannot escape and the batteries remain clean, easy to handle and environmentally friendly. In addition, the maintenance-free casing eliminates the need to add water or clean the terminals. OPTIMA® Blue Top batteries are sealed and can therefore be installed anywhere and in almost any position inside a boat or recreational vehicle.
Superior charge retention / Faster recharging
During the off-season, marine batteries remain inactive for months and self-discharge. OPTIMA BlueTop marine batteries have such a low self-discharge rate that they can remain inactive for a year without being recharged, if kept at room temperature. What is the difference?
OPTIMA® offers three battery models for your marine and recreational vehicle needs: 34M, D34M and D31M.
BlueTop Deep Cycle
Optima BT DC 4.2 and BT DC 5.5 are dual polarity batteries. They can be used in any deep cycle application: (marine services, solar panels, electric motors, bow thrusters) and can also be used in starting applications.
Blue Top SLI (Starting, Lighting and Electronics)
Optima BT SLIM 4.2 is a starting battery. While BT DC batteries can be used for both service and starting, BT SLIM batteries can only be used for starting applications.
