Sika Primer-209 D is a low-viscosity black primer that reacts with atmospheric moisture, specially formulated for treating painted or plastic surfaces before applying Sikaflex polyurethane adhesives. Sika Primer-209 D is used to improve adhesion on the following substrates:
Acrylic, alkyd/melamine paints, powder coatings, baked enamels.
Polymethyl methacrylate (PMMA), polycarbonate (PC), polystyrene (PS), polyester fibreglass (PES-GRP), epoxy fibreglass (EP-GRP), ABS, PVC, etc. As paints and plastics vary considerably in terms of chemical composition, preliminary tests are necessary. Always consult the manufacturer before use on plastics subject to stress cracking, such as acrylates, polycarbonates, ABS, etc. This product is intended for use by professional users. Preliminary tests are recommended with specific substrates and application conditions to ensure perfect adhesion and material compatibility.
